This short travel guide is divided in two parts: in the first part we offer some ideas to reach Turin city center from the main airports of the area, while the second part suggests how to reach the NUSOD venue from the city center using the underground.
From the airports to the city center
From Torino Caselle (TRN) airport
A new train connection from Torino Airport to the city center will be available in 2024; at the moment, the best ways to reach the city center is to take a bus or a taxi.
By bus, the fastest solution is represented by Flibco connections
From Milano Malpensa (MPX) airport to the city center
From Bergamo Orio al Serio (BGY) airport to the city center
From Milano Linate (LIN) airport to the city center
Take the Linate shuttle to Milano Centrale railway station. From there, there are several trains connection Milan to the two Turin’s main stations (Porta Nuova and Porta Susa), both in the city center.
From the Turin city center to the NUSOD Venue
The easiest way to reach the NUSOD venue is by metro. The Turin Metro (Metropolitana di Torino) is the first driverless rapid transit system in Italy. It comprises one 15.1 km line with 23 stations connecting Fermi station in Collegno with Piazza Bengasi in Turin.
Turin metro starts operating at 5:30 from Monday to Saturday and at 7:00 on Sundays. It closes at 22:00 on Mondays, at 00:30 from Tuesday to Thursday, at 1:30 on Friday and Saturday, and at 1:00 on Sundays.
The single journey ticket costs € 1.70 and it includes the urban line and the suburban line for 100 minutes. You can buy tickets at metro stations, or using the GTT – TO move app (Android). More detail can be found here. All the participants will receive 4 daily tickets in the conference bag, so we suggest that you just buy one single journey ticket to reach the conference on the first day.
If your hotel is located in the city center, then take the metro in direction Bengasi to reach the conference Venue, then exit at Lingotto metro station and walk for approximately 5 minutes walk along via Nizza.
